Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
 

  • Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality, force-free, and fear-free training to our clients.

  • +18 years of age with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

  • Reliable mobile device and fluent with computer skills.

  • Effective time management skills. 

  • Desire to learn new skills.

  • Good written communication skills.

  • Comfortable with public speaking.

  • Our team members must adhere to ethical guidelines, including those outlined in LIFE Compliance. Using e-collars, prong collars, or “balanced” approaches in a training plan is not an acceptable standard of care for our clients.

     

Experience Required:
​​

  • Professional Dog Trainer​ Positions:

    • 1-2 years of experience working with clients in private and group settings. ​

    • Preference is given to candidates holding certification from reputable organizations that teach the principles of ethical, humane, and positive reinforcement training, such as the Karen Pryor Academy, Pet Professional Guild, Academy for Dog Trainers, or Certification of Professional Dog Trainers.

      • Will consider equivalent education in psychology, animal behavior, or a related field​...

  • Dog Trainer Apprentice & Assistant Positions:

    • Familiar with learning theory and basic psychology understanding.  ​

    • Regular access to a dog that is comfortable with other dogs and in new situations.
