How to navigate "Spooky" Season with your pet!

Halloween can be a scary time for both you and your furry companion. However, there are ways to make it fun and fear-free for both of you! Start by creating positive associations with things that might typically scare your pet. For example, try giving them treats when they encounter something spooky. Before Halloween, make sure your pet is comfortable wearing a costume if you'd like to participate, and pay attention to their body language to ensure they aren't scared. Consider using a motion sensor to minimize stress from constant doorbell ringing during Trick or Treat. If your pet is less social, providing them with a safe space filled with appropriate toys and treats to enjoy during the festivities is best.

You can learn more about navigating Halloween activities during our Halloween PAWty on 10/21/2023 from 10AM-12PM.
