The upside of COVID-19 (wait, say what?!)

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

I know... you're probably asking how there can possibly be an upside to COVID-19 with all the limitations and changes that we are experiencing in the current world.... However, I plan to use this time to flourish as everyone begins to settle into their homes. I am determined to bring some 'normalcy' to you even if it isn't 'normal' at first.

Because my main focus is to help you with your pet, I am now offering private lessons via video sessions! Many of you already know that I have offered for you to continue classes via video chat however, we will be offering new classes, private lessons and tasks for you to learn all through the internet! I have been training dogs for years, I do not need to see you and the dog in person to help you accomplish your goals. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing all your faces but I do not want to risk your safety just so that we can see each other. Technology has been advancing and we are all stuck at home (mostly) anyways so why not advance with it and use it.

Other precautions that have been implemented:

For those who may have missed my email early last week, we have taken precautions to help limit contact with COVID-19 and keep everyone safe. As always, I am committed to keeping you as safe as possible. With that being said, we have again increased our safety protocols that we are using. Everyone enrolled in group activities or traveling to the facility will be asked to follow our new protocols:

  • All clients are required to sanitize their hands upon entering and exiting the building

  • All teams are required to be at least 6 ft from each other at all times

  • I will not provide extra treats to be used during classes

  • Every surface touched is sanitized after each session, including equipment

  • All door handles, chairs and handrails are sanitized before and after client arrivals

  • High risk and symptomatic clients will be asked to continue with classes online

  • Late cancellation fees are being waived until further notice
